MARCADORES DE PRESERVAÇÃO DA FACE NA FALA CULTA DE SÃO PAULO E DO RIO DE JANEIRO

Resumo

This text discusses the makers of face preservation used in the spoken standard Portuguese of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It is emphasised that these markers play an essential role in the construction of the conversational act and that they are divided in two groups: those that indicate a more direct involvement and those that denote a less intense participation of the speaker.
