A VOZ DO PROFESSOR: ESTUDO DE GRUPOS DE SAÚDE VOCAL EM UNIDADE BÁSICA DE SAÚDE

Resumo

The purpose of this article is to present the validity of the promotion of vocal health for groups of educators in municipal schools in São Paulo. The importance of the human voice cannot be overstated nowadays. There is an increasing number of professionals who depend on their voices to work. The high incidence of voice disorders faced by public education professionals indicated the need for vocal preventive actions. Two groups of educators were analysed in this study after participation in “Vocal Health Groups” coordinated by two speechlanguage pathologists. The results showed that such interventions are effective.
