Inteligência artificial no ensino superior:
uma revisão de literatura sobre desafios e possibilidades no contexto acadêmico

This article discusses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education, problematizing how this technology presents itself in the academic context. Its main objective is to reflect on how AI has been integrated into academia, analyzing usage strategies, conceptions related to AI, and the challenges and possibilities of this integration. The methodology used is a systematic literature review, with a survey of scientific productions between January 2021 and June 2024, in two databases: AcademiaEdu and Google Scholar. Topics presented include a brief history of AI, its definition, as well as discussions about AI in higher education from Nascimento et al. (2023), Rodrigues (2023), Peres (2024), among others. The results point to AI as a valuable resource for personalizing learning and supporting pedagogical decisions in higher education. However, they also highlight ethical and legal challenges and the need for teacher training in this technology.
