Abstract

This text proposes to reflect innovative methodologies that consider decolonial studies as a praxis of opposition to the modern/colonial world system in inclusive education. To this end, we verified how a centralizing ontology makes people with disabilities invisible and subordinate, resulting in an ableist and exclusionary social model in inclusive education in Brazil. In view of this, we discuss the implications of coloniality in the field of inclusive education and then, from a decolonial perspective, present the elements that surround a decolonial pedagogy to promote inclusive education, especially with regard to education and inclusion. of people with disabilities.
