Resumo

A ilha de Okinawa, no Japão, é um dos cinco locais com as maiores taxas de longevidade e saúde. Isso se deve a fatores como dieta hipocalórica, alimentos ricos em nutrientes e propriedades miméticas da restrição calórica, além de uma relação cultural única com a alimentação. O aspecto social das refeições também contribui para a saúde. Esta revisão integrativa explora esses fatores e os desafios futuros, considerando a crescente influência da cultura ocidental na ilha.
