Focus and Scope

Published every four months in electronic format, ReCaPe brings together articles, research reports, reviews, translations, and interviews. All publications are original and result from scientific research in the field of Business Administration.

This journal is published by the Graduate Programs in Business Administration of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) and the School of Economics, Business, and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (USP). This partnership was established through joint work between the Research Group on Career Management and Transformations at Work (PUC-SP) and the Career Management Research Group of the University of São Paulo.

Its focus of interest is concentrated on three major themes:

  • Careers: production of knowledge dedicated to career management, strategic thinking in the development of career plans, and identities of contemporary careers;

  • People Management: production of knowledge related to the continuous adjustment of expectations among individuals, organizations, the market, and public policies;

  • Faculty Development: production of knowledge, from a humanistic perspective, focused on the training of faculty members in business administration.

This is an open space for professors, researchers, and students who wish to publish their analyses, reflections, and research results. The journal is also open to contributions from the business community.

As a main requirement for publication in ReCaPe, submitted works must present analytical and interpretative content, coherently aligned with scientific rigor in the field of Business Administration. For this purpose, the presence of at least one professor among the authors of submitted and published articles is considered essential.

Peer Review Process

The peer review process of the Journal of Careers and People consists of the following stages:

  • The original article is analyzed by the responsible editor to verify compliance with thematic and methodological requirements and to define the epistemological area for evaluation.

  • After this definition, the article is sent to external peer reviewers, preserving the anonymity of the authors (blind review). Reviewers issue their recommendations according to the following criteria:

    1. Publish without changes;

    2. Publish with minor changes made by the reviewers;

    3. Return to the author with guidelines for corrections, with possible later publication;

    4. Return to the author with rejection, without later publication.

  • In cases of divergence, decisions are resolved through positive or negative opinions from each of the three executive editors, preventing tie situations.

Results are communicated to the authors via the email address provided at the time of submission.

Periodicity

The Journal of Careers & People (ReCaPe) publishes annual volumes with a four-month periodicity. Thus, three issues are published per year, all released on the first business day of the corresponding four-month period:
