This research aimed to analyze the relationship between abusive supervision, the emotional exhaustion of the worker and the intention to leave the organization. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire applied to workers living in the cities of Ouro Preto and Mariana, both of Minas Gerais. The survey sample included 326 respondents and the data collected were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. Examining the results, it was confirmed that abusive supervision leads to emotional exhaustion and intention to leave the organization. Furthermore, it was found that emotional exhaustion amplifies the employee’s intention to leave the organization.
