Bienestar y desempeño del docente universitario: relación con el liderazgo y la compasión

Este estudio tiene como objetivo probar un modelo de doble moderación - afrontamiento y compasión del líder - sobre el bienestar y desempeño del profesor universitario ante la pandemia Covid-19. La investigación empírica se realizó con 251 profesores de Educación Superior, de diferentes cursos y titulaciones. Los datos recopilados se analizaron mediante análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC) y regresiones múltiples. Los datos confirman las hipótesis de doble moderación - de las estrategias de afrontamiento de reevaluación positiva y - de la compasión del líder - en esta relación. Los resultados sugieren que las estrategias de afrontamiento de reevaluación positiva y la compasión del líder pueden mitigar los efectos deletéreos por estresores, manteniendo estabilizados los niveles de bienestar, brindando al docente la posibilidad de realizar sus actividades diarias en el trabajo. Se concluye que las correlaciones exploradas en este estudio brindan nuevas discusiones teóricas y prácticas que pueden contribuir a los modelos existentes, ampliando los estudios sobre las consecuencias del bienestar de los docentes de educación superior, así como la importancia de las estrategias de afrontamiento y la compasión del líder en situaciones cotidianas, especialmente con eventos estresantes. Los hallazgos contribuyeron a la comprensión e identificación de medidas que pueden minimizar los impactos causados por la pandemia.
