The year 2022 marks important changes in Brazilian history. A year of crossroads of forces and country projects, in which general elections are held to change or maintain the command of the republic, bringing to light the clash of ideological trends at play and bringing to the surface political concerns and violence. This is a crucial year to define the immediate directions that Brazil will take, at a dramatic moment in the country's history, in the midst of the economic crisis and the confrontations of a global pandemic, in which Brazilian society is politically fractured by the events of the last decade and under the domination of an extreme right that is disruptive to democratic values.
