Ethics Policy
The journal Cadernos de Subjetividade is committed to ethical standards and publication quality, involving all parties in the publication process. Considering our focus, scope, and editorial project, we do not accept plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or any other unethical behavior. During the article screening process, we use platforms for plagiarism detection and artificial intelligence-generated content detection.
Authors must ensure that their works are entirely original and, if they use the work and/or texts of others, these must be properly cited according to the journal's guidelines. Authors should cite publications that were important in determining the nature of the reported work. Plagiarism in all its forms — including self-plagiarism — constitutes unethical editorial behavior and is unacceptable.
Authorship of the work should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All individuals who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors, and those who have participated in certain aspects of the research project should be acknowledged as contributors. The main author must ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included in the manuscript and that they have seen and approved the final version and agreed to its submission for publication.
All authors must disclose in the manuscript any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must also be disclosed. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly inform the journal editor or the Editorial Board and cooperate to correct the article.
Guided by policies decided by the Editorial Board, the editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The editor must evaluate submitted manuscripts without regard to the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy. The editor and other editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the reviewers and editorial advisors. They must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent. The editor must also refuse to evaluate manuscripts in which there are conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the manuscripts. The editor should take appropriate measures when ethical complaints regarding a submitted manuscript or published article are presented.
