Abstract

Tommaso Campanella's theory of knowledge represents most of the tendencies of philosophical thought during the Renaissance. This article inquires upon this theory in order to explore the subject of the critical problem as an introduction to philosophical reflection. It proposes that Campanella anticipated this subject, dear to his successors, on account that in his philosophical system he prioritized epistemology over metaphysics, thus revealing the modernity of his works.
