Semiotics and Pragmatism: Theoretical Interfaces
Keywords:
Semiotics, Pragmatism, Fallibilism, MetaphysicsAbstract
This paper reflects on the logical interfaces between Charles S. Peirce’s Pragmatism and Semiotics, identifying and bringing together both doctrines in light of the concepts of meaning and conduct that will appear associated with the notions of interpretant and practical consequences, taking into account the doctrine of Fallibilism as a common theme. In light of the author’s theoretical framework, we will endeavor to show how both doctrines represent the necessary logical tool for the construction of an ontology, such as it appears within the domain of Peirce’s philosophical sciences.Metrics
