Abstract

This paper aims to develop the basic theses of the constitution of a social theory based on Robert Brandom's work, clarifying terms such as semantic inference, expressivism and normative pragmatics. The paper seeks to show why a new understanding of the concept of material inference within the context of a pragmatic-based semantics is helpful to propose a jsutification of social practices. In the end, it entends to propose the foundation of a logical theory of social reality, as well as to show the importance of pragmatism and its diagnosic potential, which basex on an inferential semantics becomes capable of describing of social players.
