Abstract

The proposal launched by Peirce, with Semiotics, of determining how all signs the must be, for an intelligence able to learn based on experience and, by Pragmatism, determine for any concept all the conceivable practical effects that can be originated from it, demands a search about its main ground principle. The hypothesis that such fundament resides in a transcendental sphere is quite attractive because it promotes the Kantian proposition, pushing it to the semiotics' domain. However, to be semiotic, without any doubt throws thought to the phenomenic domain and, ipso facto, excludes the possibility of establishing any transcendental instance that might be reached by Reason that could predicate its acts with the thought objectivity. The original abductive character of all representation and its constant submission to an experimental verification gives, to the propositions necessity, a prognostic profile, instead of a determinism that could be imposed to the appearances. The determination of a future conduct in its highly ethical search for its object', attributes to the universality of this science an evolutionary character consisting in a clear reason to constitute science, imputes an evolutionary asymptotic growth character to this same science, in a permanent and asymptotic growth, being related to the things it represents in a distributive and non collective way, and being inductively verified in its truth conditions.
