Communication from a Pragmaticistic Viewpoint

Abstract

The dialogic character of semiosis confers to it essentially communicative properties. The question is not to prove that semiosis is communication, but how the properties of semiosis permit the communicative process. Vagueness and generality of the signs are the main factors of communication. The way they are hold by utterers and interpreters enables the success of communication.
