The role of verification in Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Observations

Abstract

The paper aims to analyze the role that verification theory occupies in the work of Ludwig Wittgenstein's in Philosophical Observations (1964), seeking to show that the function that verification will assume in Philosophical Observations will be a post-tractarian attempt in explaining that meaning is related to the way a proposition is verified, which gives the verification a strongly pragmatist conception.
