Abstract

The revival of pragmatism was accompanied by a number of feminist philosophers who struggled to rescue from obscurity the thinkers who were part of the classic pragmatist movement of the late nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century. The present work aims to introduce this work to Portuguese-speaking readers through a brief presentation by the thinkers Jane Addams (1860-1935), Mary Parker Follet (1868 – 1933), Charlotte Perkins Gilman (1860 – 1935), Mary Whiton Calkins (1863 – 1930) and Ella Flagg Young. (1845 – 1918).
