Resumen

In this paper I seek to develop an approximation between the notions of structure and sign from Uexküll’s theory of meaning. As the second part of the theory of self-world, the theory of meaning corresponds to Uexküll’s approach to the animal world according to a very particular linguistic and semiotic vocabulary. As consequence of Uexküll’s approach, the paper suggests that it can be seen as a conceptual alternative to the reductionisms in contemporary Biology.
