A discursive interpretation about the real activity of teaching in higher education: difficulties and overcomings

Abstract

This research aims to present the results of an analysis of a text producedby a higher education teacher where we identify representations built onher/his actually work from the enunciative and semantic levels (Machado& Bronckart 2009). We adopt the socio-discursive interactionism,which attributes to acting and language a fundamental role in humandevelopment, and the Labor Psychology (Clot 2006, 2010) which studyworking situations. To generate the text under analysis we employed aprocedure called instruction to the double with an experienced professorof the language studies fi eld who teaches at a public university. As a result,we identify the diffi culties to the performance of some work activities, butalso overcoming, showing the real work activity of the teacher.
