THE WORD IN LITERATURE AND IN OTHER ART FORMS

Literature, as a repository of human experience lived through and imagined, potentiates the word by endowing it with corporeality as regards orality/vocality. As basic matter of dialogues created for aesthetic purposes, it nears the natural expressiveness of speech and opens up to different contexts of interactional practices. The word – written, read, and heard – is made available to the different art forms. In the Performing Arts field, it gains the dimensions of the body itself, of its sensitive perception revealed in the work of the actors when they are in the process of creating their poetic voice. In other art forms, apart from the literary and performing ones, the word comprises visualities and demarcates its expansion to the most diversified realms of aesthetic manifestation.

This issue of Fronteiraz is accepting articles which surprise expressiveness in the word in different art forms, by analysing it in light of theoretical input guiding and supporting the reflection.

Deadline for submission of articles: March 10, 2022.

Reminder: the “Essays” and “Reviews” sections run at a continuous flow, irrespective of the thematic area chosen for the “Articles” section. For further details, please see norms in “Guidelines for authors” at http://revistas.pucsp.br/fronteiraz.
