Este artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre os impasses enfrentados pelo jornalismo na era digital, marcada por transformações tecnológicas que fragilizaram suas bases industriais e reduziram sua potência expressiva. Como estratégia para escapar da lógica algorítmica e do design padronizado por templates, o estudo revisita o San Francisco Oracle, jornal psicodélico da contracultura dos anos 1960, tomando-o como modelo de um jornalismo expandido. A partir de uma abordagem ensaística, realiza-se uma análise crítica de fontes primárias (edições do Oracle) e secundárias (autores como Huxley, Roszak, Youngblood, entre outros), para compreender as relações estéticas entre a psicodelia gráfica, o ativismo cultural e as possibilidades criativas para o jornalismo contemporâneo. Discute-se a oposição entre “mente integrada” e “consciência reduzida” como chave interpretativa para a despotencialização sensorial da comunicação digital. Conclui-se que a recuperação de práticas estéticas e editoriais de base contracultural pode servir de inspiração para a reinvenção crítica do jornalismo no contexto pós-industrial.
