Abstract

This book presents the author’s research results about soap operas audiences in Portugal, focusing on the reasons that made the Portuguese teledrama overcome the Brazilian one from 2008 on. The Grounded Data Theory has supported the investigation to provide a “model of soap operas audience” drawn from the forty-nine interviewed receivers.
