Keywords:
man/machine interface, technique/technology, Her, sociability, affectionsAbstract
The essay, focusing on the lm Her (Spike Jonze; 2013, EUA), deals with the problem of man/machine interface and its consequences, concerning the relationship between the human element and the advent of technique. The main purpose is to discuss the conceptual approach of the term "technique" and its interpretation in contemporary cultural practices, considering matters related to affection and sociability. The theoretical and analytical basis are derived from socio-semiotic concepts and from German philosopher Martin Heidegger’s studies, and re ections about the issues of modern technique in a time when society watches the shortening of distances and the resulting effects of presence, a phenomenon which tends to be experienced in an ambiguous way, mixing up fear and enchantment sensations.
