<b>O sentimento do sentimento do que nos acontece: a consciência em Damásio</b>
Abstract
O texto a seguir apresenta em linhas gerais a concepção de consciência de António Damásio desenvolvida em seu livro The Feeling of What Happens - body and emotion in the making of consciouness. Nele, o autor, baseado em sua experiência como médico e neurocientista, sugere que a consciência é um sentimento de si gerado pelo relato não-verbal resultante da percepção concomitante das alterações orgânicas e do objeto que as provoca. Palavras-chave consciência, emoção, sentimento Abstract The review shows António Damásio's consciousness conception developed in his book The Feeling of What Happens - body and emotion in the making of consciousness. There, the author, based on his experience as doctor and neuroscientist, suggest that the consciousness is a feeling of self as generated by non-verbal report and as a consequence of the concurrent perception of the organic alterations and of the object that provokes them.
