“The BBC speaks and the world believes”: the Brazilian BBC service and the quality and journalism
Abstract
This book review highlights some relevant aspects presented in Vozes de Londres. Memórias Brasileiras da BBC (Voices of London. Brazilian Memories of the BBC). The author, Laurindo Lalo Leal Filho, outlines a historical profile of BBC’s radio service broadcast in Portuguese in Brazil, reclaiming not only memories of this service through reports, testimonies and interviews with BBC staff but also the values and edito- rial code of ethics that always guided the quality of the BBC’s journalism.Downloads
