Cynicism and ideology — This is a book review of Vladimir Safatle’s Cinismo e falência da crítica. At first, we summarize the book contents, stressing its subjects and the approach adopted by its author. Then, we discuss the way the author employs the concept of ideology, questioning about its pertinence to enlighten our present circumstances.
