The magazine Floreal and the reception of faits divers in the turn nineteentwenty

Abstract

This article examines the reception of Brazilian faits divers from the early twentieth century in the work of Lima Barreto. Three axes will be articulated: an item about the printed publishing market during the emergence of faits divers sections in our press; another one about the magazine Floreal, Lima Barreto and his relation with commercial press; and, finally, an item with informations about the sections of faits divers in the periodicals mentioned in his work.
