Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has put Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its algorithms into everyday life. This new technological reality requires a deep ethical reflection and gives rise to the need of thinking about an Algorithmic Ethic. From a bibliographic research, this article proposes a definition of the ethics of the algorithms, pre- senting a reflection on the main ethical issues raised by the presence of the algorithms in the mediations of contemporary human life regarding fallibility, opacity, bias, discrimination, autonomy, privacy and responsibility. Situating it in the domain of an applied ethic, one ponders about the conjunction of the human and computational layers in raising awareness in the face of dilemmas.
