Failure as potency: a queer contribution to counter-hegemonic perspectives

Abstract

In the face of hegemony of the discourse of success, using failure as a central key is a possility to trigger other theoretical perspectives. Jack Halberstam starts from queer contributions to this other way of thinking and builds a collection of artistic and cinematographic manifestations, as well as marginal theorizations and hidden stories, with the proposal to activate other cognitives paths, trigger new affects and, thus, destabilize dominant discourses.
