The Place of Memory, Tolerance and Social Inclusion (LUM) in Lima is part of public memory policy focused on The Peruvian Internal Armed Conflict (1980- 2000). Under a sociosemiotic gaze, the present work aims to analyze the LUM as a public space and significant affections producer. A document review and a participant observation were carried out revealing a nominative dispute in its political elaboration and an affective transformation in visitors’ journey.
