Abstract

The book Live Audiovisual: trends and concepts, by authors Marcus Bastos and Patricia Moran, was published in 2020 by Intermeios. Carrying out an arche- ology of audiovisual performance, the text goes through inventions from the 19th century and extends to live experiments today. It reflects on the implications of technologies on artistic creations, presenting concepts by different authors and works by audiovisual artists in an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on live video.

Juliana Garzillo, ECA - USP

Juliana Garzillo (São Paulo, SP, 1988)
Doutoranda pela ECA-USP em Meio e Processos Audiovisuais, na linha de Poéticas. Mestre em Comunicação e Semiótica pela PUC-SP (bolsista CNPq) e graduada em Comunicação Social pela ESPM-SP. Participa do grupo de estudos Poéticas Audiovisuais, coordenado por Patricia Moran (ECA-USP). Participa do coletivo audiovisual Quarta Pessoa do Singular. Possui dois capítulos publicados em livros da coleção Extremidades: redes audiovisuais, cinema, performance e arte contemporânea, organizada por Christine Mello (PUC-SP).
