Abstract

Stefano Mancuso was the founder of the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology (LINV), a research institution dedicated to plant neurobiology and plant communication. Plant Revolution won in 2018 the XII Galileo Prize for scientific dissemination literary writing. The main objective of the work is overcome the misunderstanding about the way which Biology itself has been treating plants until now, as if they were being inferior to animals. Mancuso unpacks pioneering botanical studies and introduces their authors to the contemporary public, giving clear outlines to his argument, which, in short, affirm that we must see in plants a future model of society.

Doutor em Ciências Sociais e Mestre em Estudos da Mídia, ambos pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Tem especialização em Propaganda e Marketing na Gestão de Marcas pela UFRN e é graduado em Comunicação Social com Habilitação em Publicidade & Propaganda pela Universidade Potiguar (UnP).
