Efemerity in circulation: I bring the news about my treatment myself

Abstract

The present article analyses the journalists’ processes of transformation from mediators into events’ actors. The object of analysis is centered in some discursive strategies of the newspaper column of Paulo Sant’Ana, in which the enunciator builds its path of efemerity from self-referential operations. The case study brings signs of mutation processes that aim at the displacement of the journalist’s condition of “contact guardian” to the operator of a discursive work, turning him into both source and object, and at the same time, into interpretative dynamic leader of the event’s process of intelligibility.
