Starting from the assumption that ethical question and values construction are a necessary aspect for education, this paper presents a research which aim was to investigate which children stories were significant to the values construction for fifteen Portuguese language teachers, subjects in this research. As a methodological instrument, we use a Content Analysis based on Bardin (2010). We verify that these favorite stories have ethical values. The results show that these values can still remain in adults’ life. Therefore an effective choice of these stories will be necessary for students.
