This study is aimed at presenting and describing the linguistic-discursive knowledge constructed in an experience of teachinglearning in Tandem practice via MSN Messenger, and the stories of construction of identity that emerged in this practice. The study was based in assumptions about teaching-learning languages in Tandem practice and in conceptions of language and identity. The analysis was developed from the composition of meanings, according to Ely, Vinz, Downing and Anzul (2001) and made it possible to establish a relation between the culture related to the studied language, the construction of linguistic-discursive knowledge and the reconstruction of personal identity.Downloads
