The aim of this paper is to present and discuss a research and extension program which has been developed at a Portuguese/English Language degree course. The program’s objective has been enhancing the student-teachers’ academic and professional autonomy through their inclusion into language teaching and learning contexts. The applied methodology is qualitative, exploratory and participative. The instruments are diaries and portfolios. The results prove the enhancing of their professional autonomy and reflective capacity, as well as of their understanding of the teaching profession.Downloads
