THE TEACHING OF PRONUNCIATION IN TEXTBOOKS FOR TEACHING PORTUGUESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Given the promising scenario that unfolds for the teaching of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL), the importance of textbooks in this context and interest in pronunciation issues, this article aims to analyze how pronunciation teaching is worked on textbooks of Portuguese as a Foreign Language, taking into account six books that are available in the market and are published by Brazilian or Argentine publishers. The Speech Learning Model (SLM) proposed by FLEGE (1995, 1999, 2005) is considered as theoretical reference.
