Abstract

The present study seeks to elucidate the lack of relation between the adequacy of the use of the language to situations of enunciation and the lack of relation between the adequacy of the use of the language to social and political issues in classroom. The reflection came from a doubt of a student pronounced after an activity that approached the adequacy of the level of speech formality to the communication situation, alerting about the necessity of attaching to social and political issues through the uses of the language, given the context of political ferment in which these students are inserted.
