This article aims to comprehend how an adolescent signifies the uses of writing in her trajectory and constructs her identity, by positioning herself on the literacy events she takes part in a social organization located in a vulnerable territory. The theoretical contributions come from the Literacy Studies and the dialogical conception of language from Bakhtin’s Circle. The corpus of analysis focus on this adolescent´s discursive productions, based on the participant observation of events, a conversation circle, a semi-structured interview, and the construction of a self narrative. Results indicate that she values the writing, which constructs new significances about who she is.
