Abstract

This work is part of an in progress research sponsored by FAPEMIG, which intends to show and to analyse proposals for literature readers´ formation and, more specifically, for poetry readers' formation, in educational materials that the pupils of the state schools started to receive from the National Programme for the Secondary Education Book – PNLEM/2005. Considering the fact that textbooks are bearers who provide visibility to practices of literacy, it is expected that this analysis and the subsequent categorization of trends may contribute to thinking over the formation of the readers in this reading sphere.
