This study aims to describe teaching and learning in geriatric-gerontological care in the promotion of health education for the elderly. Qualitative, exploratory-descriptive research delineated with semi-structured interview, systematic observation and content analysis. The interactions and associations of health education are processes of teaching and learning that allow the visibility of the educational dimension in the multidimensional perspective of the health of the elderly.
