This publication is an interview with Manuel Luis de La Mata Benítez, professor at the University of Seville (ES) in the Department of Experimental Psychology. Manuel is the coordinator of the Human Activity Laboratory (LAH), a research group that works from the perspective of Socio-Cultural Psychology, using Lev Vigotski and James Wertsch as references. He is also a member of the International Society of Cultural-Historical Activity Research (ISCAR) and collaborated on the development of Lev Vygotsky’s Obras Escogidas for the Spanish language. The researcher has an extensive academic production, especially on topics such as the development of memory, the construction of identity, hate speech, gender studies, among others. The aim of the interview is to contribute to scientific production in Cultural-Historical Psychology, especially by presenting a historical overview of vygotskian productions in Spain, as well as establishing a dialog that aims to identify approximations and distances between productions in the two countries.
