Its main goal to investigate the pratices of Competency-based (RH) Management, and its connections with the human resources processes in a brazilian large mining company. The research has analyzed the model put into action by the company (2006-2009). This qualitative focus research was conducted based on the analysis of documental contents and on interviews. The results have indicated the difficulties of implementing and consolidating the Competency-based (RH) Management and of aligning the human resources processes. The Competency-based (RH) Management has confirmed as an approach to human resources which enables the negotiation between organizational actors and the implementation of feedbacks between manager and employee.Metrics
