The objective of this study was to present a literature revision of the scientific production about Burnout Syndrome (BS) and factors associated with leadership. Researchers conducted searches on the Scielo, Pepsic, PubMed, and Elsevier platforms in the journal "The Leadership Quarterly". The collected data were related to the last ten years. We have found 351 studies to analyze the checklist do PRISMA, remaining 20 articles for final evaluation. The results point to the need for research that relates BS and leadership styles, as leadership behaviors contribute to the illness or health of those led. Organizational actions can contribute to the leaders and organizations in better management practices and the workers' health.
