Awareness of ESG issues has shaped the global business landscape, reflected in management research. Recent crises have highlighted the need for more sustainable and socially responsible management. The UN 2030 Agenda established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), requiring joint action from governments, companies and NGOs. Academics are crucial in evaluating and proposing ways to implement the SDGs, pointing out successful projects, and creating metrics to measure their effectiveness. ESG is redefining management by driving research into sustainable business models, corporate social impact, corporate governance practices, and sustainability education. This paradigm shift requires education, commitment, and a holistic approach from managers. Management research must adapt dynamically to provide valuable insights in an ever-changing world. Collaboration between different areas of knowledge is essential to advance ESG research, and the Revista Administração em Diálogo (RAD) encourages contributions in this regard.
