An Exegesis of Mk 3,28-29 and Mt 12,31-32
any sin, including blasphemy, is (un)forgivable

It is traditional interpreting the passages of Mk 3,28-29, Mt 12,31-32, and Lk 12,10 as expressing the “blasphemy against the Holy Spirit”: the so-called “unforgivable sin”. However, there has been great theological difficulty in explaining what kind of sin is or was able to be unforgivable, given the sacrifice of the Son of God. Faced with such difficulty, the strategy of certain theological explanations has been to emphasize, without strong appeal to the biblical text, not the sin of blasphemy, but the sinner's life as one of the main factors for the impossibility of forgiveness. This essay seeks exactly to reinforce this factor through a rich exegesis of the passages, especially in their original language, and even offering alternative translations. Also, it seeks to explain this unexpected consequence to the tradition: that the impossibility of forgiveness is not restricted to blasphemy.
