O Cristianismo e a religiosidade popular do império romano

Neste artigo, propomos uma interpretação sobre o cristianismo desenvolvido nos primeiros séculos que evidencie suas características compartilhadas com outros referenciais religiosos populares do Império Romano nesse mesmo período. Para tanto, realizamos um cotejo entre a tradição textual judaico-cristã e vestígios arqueológicos, referentes sobretudo à religiosidade de grupos sociais desprovidos de pleno direito, com o objetivo de avaliar suas similaridades. Esperamos que esse exercício comparativo possa reiterar a feição mediterrânica da religiosidade cristã.
