Two Moments of Capistrano de Abreu: Notes about a Historical Production.

Abstract

This article attempts to develop a reflection about the historiographyc production of Capistrano de Abreu, rethinking international, national and local contexts that are in confluence to bellows the growing of a production which is in contraposition with the anterior historiographyc generation. After this, it is synthesized the thesis that, in the interior of the historiographyc trajectory of Capistrano de Abreu, that wood be a break that inverts the historiographyc conception of this author born in Ceará. The intention of the article is not to examine all historiography production of Capistrano de Abreu, but only to analyze the contrast between two initial phases of this author: the initial works, and the phase of the Capítulos de História Colonial.
