Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present two vivid, penetrating and contemporary testimonies of the events that transformed the history of México since the end of the Porfiriato. Taking common motifs, we shall confront some letters writen by the wife of United States chargé in México under President Huerta with the literaturized memories of an English woman, owner of a hotel in Cuernavaca, in order to define the semantics of Mexican Revolution and its actors through the “intrahistory” traced by this two women travelers.
