Abstract

This paper, derived from my doctoral thesis in History at Unicamp, 2001, published by Boitempo in 2004, analyzes the final process of the Department of Censorship of Public Entertainment (DCDP) and the activity of its two last general directors, Solange Hernandez and Coriolano de Loyola Cabral Fagundes. I intend to redefine the scenario of the end of the Federal Censorship Board based on the performance of these two technical staff members and their political and administrative ties.
